I’ll help identify how your child learns best by working collaboratively to understand their strengths and areas of need. I will review work samples, recommend evidence-based strategies and best practices, and demonstrate practical approaches that can support learning and academic achievement. I will also provide ongoing support and reinforcement during several learning sessions to ensure both the student and parent feel confident applying these strategies independently, including incorporating them into homework and everyday learning.
-
I will support your child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) by developing a clear understanding of their strengths, needs, and learning profile. Through reviewing work samples, reports you are comfortable sharing, and observations, I will recommend practical strategies and provide suggested wording to help strengthen the IEP.
With parent permission, I can also collaborate with school staff by attending meetings with parents, speaking with teachers by phone, or communicating with the school team as appropriate. My goal is to help families advocate for their child’s needs while supporting the development and implementation of effective strategies within the IEP.

I will support parents/guardians in navigating the educational system and identifying pathways and resources that can support their child’s learning. With parent/guardian permission, I am also available to attend meetings alongside them to help discuss next steps, advocate for their child’s learning needs, and support the implementation of strategies. I am also happy to communicate with teachers and other members of the school team, when appropriate.
Navigating the educational system can be challenging for parents/guardians, and understanding the available supports and processes is not always easy. Parents/guardians have the right to be active participants in their child’s education and to have a clear understanding of their child’s progress, learning needs, and the strategies being put in place to support them. My goal is to help parents/guardians feel informed, supported, and confident in being part of that process.

I am available to lead small-group learning sessions of up to three students, once or twice per week. Each 50-minute session would focus on reading and writing skills while also supporting students with their current classroom learning and homework. Sessions would incorporate individualized strategies that we are developing together, allowing students to apply and strengthen these strategies within their everyday academic work.
